About Me

My photo
Growing up I filled my schedule with dance classes, in every variation of dance. Searching for a costume was one of my favorite tasks each year. I would pay close attention to the story it told and how it would move on the stage. Would it complete the story that I was trying to tell with the dance? That same excitement followed me to love the fashion industry. I like to think of the whole story that is being told and how the movement of the clothes is the language. Just like dance is an art form, I look at fashion as an art and not simply a business.

Vita della Moda: Bonus Clue

For the scavenger hunt every team was given a bonus clue. It stated: “Non solo un occhio di colore diverso, ma un concetto completamente diverso di vendita al dettaglio. Se ne trovate uno, é necessario trovare un altro.”

Yesterday while we were walking around Duomo, we saw a woman with a 10 Corso Como shopping bag with the same bulls eye as the picture that was attached to the clue. We then knew what we were looking for; it was only a matter of finding it! Today we used our free day to travel around Milano in search of this hidden treasure. We found the first store after walking through a bamboo passage way and a garden enclosed café. The store had amazing visuals that were very unique. At the store there was a map showing how to get to the discount store a few blocks away.

We walked through some construction areas and according to the map we were there. We walked into a not very inviting area, which instantly turned into a beautiful courtyard. The discount store had designer clothes and shoes for up to 60% off! After looking around the store at the distinctive pieces, we took our pictures and were on our way. These first clues really were scavenger hunts for our group and I hope they don’t get too much harder for us.
